2019 Christmas Donations Print E-mail

2019 Christmas Donations

This year we decided rather than make several large donations to chosen charities at Christmas as we have done for the last few years, it would be really nice to give all our groups who attended our My First Scotland Match programme in 2019 a Christmas donation of £500.

We met some really amazing kids and worthy groups in 2019 and we hoped that £500 would help them bring a little bit of Christmas magic to the kids.

There were 9 groups (see below) each receiving £500 so we donated a total of £4500.

Syngenta Juveniles Cerebral Palsy FC
Saturday Café Clubs
Barnardos Scotland
Ceann Creige Hurling & Camogie Club
Midlothian Council 5-a-sides
Rosemount Lifelong Learning
Dadtastic Club
Dundee FC Community Trust
Oot Scoot & Aboot

The response we had was amazing. Thanks everyone for your continued support for TACC.

TACC FC – Cerebral Palsy Scotland

As part of our TACC FC initiative, we recently awarded a grant of £5860 to the Scottish National Cerebral Palsy Football Team "Pathway Project" for 5 – 18 year olds.

This award ties in with our TACC FC initiative where we try to help disadvantaged children in Scotland via football related activities.

We hope this money will help enhance the experiences for the young people who suffer from Cerebral Palsy and are part of the Scottish National Cerebral Palsy Football setup.

Happy New Year from TACC Print E-mail

As we head into 2022 we can take some time to look back on 2021.

Even though for a lot of the time we were faced with never ending COVID restrictions, TACC really did do some amazing stuff in 2021.

After 23 years we were all delighted to see Scotland qualify for the Euros which took place in June.
There was such an exciting buzz around the country as we nervously awaited our fate.
We were very fortunate that not only one but three bands all decided to do a charity single during the Euros for us with proceeds coming to TACC.  Huge thanks to The Dirty Kilts, The Fratellis and The Afflicted for their support.

We had our famous ‘Yes Sir I can Boogie’ handmade facemasks with all proceeds from sales kindly donated to us from Freja Designer Dressmaking.
I don’t think any of us will ever forget Derek's debut with Phil and Holly on ITV's This Morning proudly wearing his facemask.

Our Ambassador Ryan Johnstone set up a Euros predictor with all monies raised donated to TACC, spending many hours setting it up and religiously updating it.
Huge thanks to Ryan for his hard work - it’s very much appreciated.

Whilst in London for the Euros we donated £5000 to Little Lives UK before the England game.
During the Euros we also took part in Scotland HQ Live along with Children 1st, and we send our grateful thanks to the SFA for their continued support.

After the Euros sadly came to an end for us, we set our sights on the World Cup Qualifiers and donated 25,000 Danish Krone to Barnabati whilst in the Faroes, and £3000 to La Via in Moldova.

We have sent over 50 children to Hampden as part of our My First Scotland Match programme helping them to make some amazing memories.

Derek completed his first ever Kiltwalk whilst Sam and friends once again raised funds via the Kiltwalk.
Leah completed the London Marathon raising funds for not just TACC but also the Scotland National Cerebral Palsy Football team too - all amazing achievements.

We have had 12 TACC Lottery winners - thanks and congratulations to them all.

And finally in December we donated a total of £10,000 for our 2021 Christmas donations.
The money went to 3 organisations supporting disadvantaged children in Scotland - Includem (across Scotland), AberNecessities (Aberdeenshire) and Pennypit Community Development Trust (East Lothian)

All In all it’s been a pretty awesome year. We are all just volunteers who could not do what we do without the amazing support you continue to give us.
You are helping us help make a difference to so many children's lives - so thank you all.

Wishing you all the very best for 2022 - here’s to happiness, health and Scotland to qualify for the World Cup !!!

Derek, Doreen, Dot, John, Kevin, Leah, Sam and Rory
