WHERE WE DONATed...
TACC are delighted to announce a new £5000 charity donation to Firefly, a childrens cancer charity in Zagreb who support children in the city and across the country. We will make the donation when Scotland play Croatia in early June.
Firefly Association was founded in September of 2000 by medical professionals, parents of children suffering from cancer, expert associates and other interested parties. The idea of forming such an organization has come from the experiences of parents and medical staff of the Oncology Department of Children's Hospital Zagreb. It has also come from the recognition of the need to expand communication among parents as well as from the wish to improve the quality of life of sick children.
The aim of the association is to improve the life conditions and treatment of children suffering from cancer. Members of the Firefly Association are parents whose children are treated in some of the children's oncology departments in Croatia, parents whose children have successfully completed the treatment and those who have lost a child due to a malignant disease. Also, the association brings together a number of experts in the field who actively participate in its work.
Firefly is an association that provides help to children and families confronted with malignant diseases, and they believe that the general public recognizes and considers their work to be valuable and important.
