Massive thanks to Amy MacDonald !!! Print E-mail

The utterly fantastic Amy Macdonald, whom we're delighted to say honoured us by becoming TACC's first Ambassador many years ago, opened the

Swiss Indoor tennis season on 23 October 2017 with yet another outstanding performance.

At the event Amy was presented with a cheque for 25,000 Euro and we are absolutely delighted to announce that Amy is donating this to TACC to

enable us to continue to make a difference to children in Scotland and in countries in which our national team... plays.

Thanks so much Amy, this money is going to make such a difference and we are so proud, and lucky, to have you as TACC Ambassador No. 1.

MFSM - Netherlands - Nov 2017 Print E-mail

TACC were delighted to send 41 children to their first Scotland match in November 2017 as part of TACC's My First Scotland Match programme.

At the Scotland vs Netherlands match at Pittodrie on Thursday 9th, 16 children (4 each from the following Aberdeen support initiatives, overseen by Aberdeen FC Community Trust) cheered on Scotland:

Syrian Dons - using football to help integrate young Syrian refugees to develop social & language skills.

Torry Projects - pupils from both primary schools in one of Aberdeen's most deprived areas, transitioning with Torry Academy.

Northfield Academy - using daily football sessions as part of school curriculum to improve attendance & attainment.

Seaton Footea Project - P7 pupils who participate in AFCCT Footea and Breakfast club initiatives.

On Friday 10th 13 kids attended the Men’s Under 21 game vs Latvia at McDiarmid Park in Perth.  The kids attending were from SHIP.  S.H.I.P. was established by parents in 1986 and aims to provide support for young people in the Perth and Kinross community who have Additional Support Needs.  This support is delivered through youth clubs, play schemes and other activity led opportunities.  SHIP were one the charities we donated to last Christmas so it’s lovely to be able to continue our support to them.

On Tuesday 14th 12 children from Perth Autism Support attended the Men’s Under 21 game vs Ukraine at McDiarmid Park in Perth. This is a charity TACC also donated to last Christmas.

As always all children attending received a match ticket, a Saltire, £10 to spend and this lucky lot received the brand new Scotland strip !!!

In 2017 TACC has taken 158 disadvantaged children to their first Scotland match - this is only possible with your continued support, so thank you !!!

MFSM - Costa Rica - March 2018 Print E-mail

TACC were delighted to send a group from Child Bereavement UK based in Glasgow to attend the Scotland vs Costa Rica match at Hampden on Friday 23rd March 2018 as part of our My First Scotland Match programme.

Child Bereavement UK supports families and educates professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement.

In 2013 the Big Fund awarded Child Bereavement UK a Third Sector Early Intervention Fund Grant to improve bereavement support initiatives for children, young people and their families in four areas of Scotland, deemed areas of deprivation. They began their work in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow and then funding was extended in 2015 to include West Lothian. They were then delighted to receive further funding to help to enhance bereavement capacity in Ayrshire, Lanarkshire, Fife, The Highlands, Orkney and Shetland.  If you would like to find out more about CBUK please have a look at their website https://childbereavementuk.org

13 children attendied the match along with family members and staff. All the children were given the new Scotland strip, a saltire and £10 to spend.

As always TACC are very grateful to the folks at the Scorland Supporters Club who provided us with match tickets and also a complimentary food voucher for each attendee. Their support is very much appreciated.
