Scotland Manager Craig Levein dropped into Robin House Children’s Hospice in Balloch to officially launch the 2nd TACC Kiltwalk charity fundraiser which took place on 10 April 2011.

The Kiltwalk organised by the Tartan Army Children’s Charity (TACC) raised over £100,000 both 2010 and the 2011 event repeated that success.

The Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) which runs Scotland’s two children’s hospices, Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch, is the charity partner for the 2011 event and received ten per cent of all the proceeds raised from the walk.

The Kiltwalk is a 26 mile sponsored walk leaving from the pitch at Hampden Park, to Balloch on the shores of Loch Lomond, where Robin House Children’s Hospice is based.

Craig Levein said:

“It is a pleasure to launch the second annual Kiltwalk organised by the Tartan Army Children’s Charity which I am sure will be another huge success. I want to encourage everyone to get involved, dust off their kilts and sign up for this excellent event on 10 April 2011 that will benefit CHAS and a number of other children’s charities both in Scotland and overseas.”

Carey McEvoy, from TACC said:

“This year the Kiltwalk is going to be bigger and better than before. With Real Radio supporting the event, Craig Levein’s backing and CHAS as our charity partner, we are on track to raise a fantastic amount of money while getting some exercise and having lots of fun at the same time.”
