We are delighted to announce that TACC has partnered with East Fife Ladies Football club to run a TACC FC football club in Leven, Fife. OUr £12800 has been supplemented by our friends at Flood Inns by another £3000 to provide a coaching program!

East Fife Girls and Ladies Football Club are a SFA Quality Mark Club that have grown from a membership of 15 women, to a strong club with over 120 members and teams at under 9s, under 11s, under 13s, under 15s, under 17s and others, the youngest member is 4.

"Our club currently has members from all over fife. The majority of our football provision takes place in Leven because the demand for our community services is so high there. Our pitch and training ground located in 2 of the Levenmouth’s poorest areas and where children often suffer from neglect." said Elizabeth Anderson from the East Fife club.

"Becoming part of the growing TACC FC program run by the Tartan Army Children's Charity allows us to help those most at need and vulnerable in our community. It helps realise our community club vision. Within our girls setup we are actively supporting girls who are full time carers, have addicted parents, have anger and self esteem, school attendance and self harm issues as best we can within the coaching environment. The TACC FC club environment allow us to focus our efforts more on those who need our support."

TACC FC is a program run by the Tartan Army Childrens Charity that works in partnership with football clubs funding projects in some of the most socially deprived areas in Scotland. Through the money raised as partner charity in the Kiltwalk and thanks to the generosity of TACC supporters the entirely volunteer run Tartan Army Childrens charity help each club in different areas of Scotland make a difference in their community.

The East Fife Girls and Ladies Football Club TACC FC project is for young people, run by young people and fully supported by the qualified coaches. Each coaching session is planned and delivered by the young leaders but supervised and supported by the lead coaches at the club. A hot meal for all children and young people attending the coaching sessions and a chance to socialise with positive role models.

The new TACC FC project will target young people in the East Fife area which is home to some of the poorest areas in Scotland where children and families suffer from financial and aspiration poverty. Working in the most vulnerable communities is a TACC priority and this latest venture joins a national network of clubs in Ruchaizie, Fergusley Park, Pilton & Kilmarnock.

The project hopes to offer the young people a positive alternative to a life on the streets and the opportunity to build positive relationships with local role models. The TACC FC program has provided a great opportunity to serve the local community and open up activities to the most vulnerable young people in the community.

The club work with some of the most vulnerable children and young people in Scotland. The club inspires confidence in the young people in the East Fife area through football, team work and fun".

With the recent amazing performance of the Scotland's ladies team in the recent Women's Euro qualifier play off but ultimate heartbreak a new generation of young girls have been inspired to try football. Who knows, the TACC FC programs in Scotland may help to coach talent to finally take a Scotland team to far flung tournaments.
