I am over the moon about this funding as it means we can continue to provide this vital service to bereaved families"

£5000 will be used to support Child Bereavement UK’s Children and Young People’s Service (CHYPS) in Buckinghamshire. Bereavement Support Worker, Pam Masini, who has been involved with the groups for the last 8 years, said:

A major strength of the CHYPS groups is that each child realises they are not the only one where someone important in their lives has died. We hear time after time children saying: 'I thought I was the only one'...For those of us working with the children we never cease to be amazed and humbled by the power of the work they produce and the wise words they utter, helped by being in a safe emotional environment with others in a similar situation and with appropriate support from trained helpers.

North of the border, the money will be used to support the provision of family days, run in partnership with other organisations in Scotland, where the charity has been funded to help ensure families can access support more easily in areas of deprivation.
